We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set-Up Operator for a 2nd shift opportunity with our client in Roscoe, IL. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, experience with machine setups, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, including tooling installation, offsets, and program loading
• Interpret blueprints and job specifications to ensure accurate production
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Adjust machine settings (feeds, speeds, offsets) to maintain tolerances
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work independently to keep production running efficiently

• CNC lathe setup and operation experience a MUST
• Strong blueprint reading and understanding of tolerances
• Experience with CNC controls
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments
• Ability to troubleshoot and make necessary machine adjustments
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours (5:30 PM – 4:00 AM)
• Reliable and self-motivated
