Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist – Set Up Operator with strong experience on CNC Vertical Machining Centers in Machesney Park, IL. This position is on 1st shift with hours from 6:00am-4:00pm. This position requires the ability to independently set up machines, run jobs, and make adjustments using G-code to produce quality parts.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers
• Load and edit programs; adjust offsets as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Set Up Operator
• Strong setup experience on CNC Vertical Machining Centers
• Working knowledge of G-code
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
