We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to support our manufacturing processes of precision tooling serving the fastener, aerospace, and automotive industries. This position will be temp-to-hire.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare cost estimates for precision tooling projects based on customer specifications, drawings, quotes, and order requirements.

- Follow up with customer RFQ

- Review customer orders and related documentation to determine materials, labor, machining time, and production requirements.

- Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to clarify project requirements and support accurate quoting.

- Evaluate tooling requirements for customers in the fastener, aerospace, and automotive industries.

 - Maintain accurate records of estimates, programming details, revisions, and supporting documentation.

- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, programming efficiency, and work flow consistency.

Qualifications -Experience in cost estimating, CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or a related precision manufacturing role.

-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, customer specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

-Knowledge of precision tooling, machining processes, materials, and production requirements.

-Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate estimates and documentation.

-Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

-Experience supporting fastener, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.

Preferred Skills

-Familiarity with CNC programming, Mastercam software and offline programming tools.

-Understanding of tooling design, machining operations, and production routing.

-Ability to balance technical accuracy with timely quote turnaround.

-Organizational skills for managing multiple estimates, programs, and customer requirements.

-Knowledge of Epicor Software
